LION OF THE YEAR
Lion Janet Rego was voted Lion of the Year by her peers, a well deserved honor. Since joining the Lions Club six years ago, Janet has chaired the senior dinner yearly, hosted Board of Directors meetings at her home, managed the food lines at Harbor Days and is chairperson of the very successful Pennies for Sight canister program. When you see one of the Pennies for Sight canister around town, it was probably placed there by Lion Janet Rego; so give generously, all proceeds go to Mass. Lions Eye Research.

Dinner Cabaret a great success!
The dinner and cabaret-style entertainment at the Knights of Columbus Hall on March 20 drew nearly 100 people.  The bufffet-style dinner by Panino's was delicious and the entertainment was superb.

Mattapoisett Lions Visit
Ocean Explorium

The Mattapoisett Lions Club started the New Year off with a special meeting on January 13. Thanks to Maritime International who sponsored the evening, we were welcomed at the Ocean Explorium on Union Street in New Bedford for a special tour of the facility.  After a very informative visit, we reconvened at Me & Ed's Restaurant on Brock Avenue in New Bedford for dinner.  View a PhotoShow!
