Mark your calendars! The Fall FREE Family Fun Festival returns this year on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Two tractors with hay rides around town, goody bag for eachc child*, pumpkin patch (each child may take one pumpkin home*), pumpkin bowling, pin the nose on the pumpkin, face painting, positive fortune telling, coloring station, music, Mattapoisett Fire Department fire truck and fire fighters, refreshments* and more! FREE! No registration required. *while supplies last
Mattapoisett Lions Club Peter Hodges Memorial Scholarship
The Mattapoisett Lions Club, a member of Lions International, the world’s largest service club organization consisting of 46,000 clubs and more than 1.4 million members worldwide, is pleased to announce the availability of TWO (2) -$ 2,000 scholarships to be awarded this year to a graduating high school senior or home-schooled student residing in Mattapoisett, Marion or Rochester or a school choice student attending Old Rochester Regional High School. In addition we are pleased to announce the availability of ONE
(1) $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who will be entering the trades and attend an accredited trade school OR tool reimbursement of up to $1,000 with proof of purchase to a graduating senior who will directly be entering the trades with an apprenticeship agreement.

Harbor Day 2026!
Harbor days 2026 is coming! It all Kicks off with Paint Night and ends with the Trathlon. The big weekend at Shipyard Park begins on Wednesday, July 15 with the Band Concert and world famous strawberry shortcakes! Friday the 17th is the Fish Fry, Sat the 17th hosts the Lobster Dinner, Sunday morning the 18th is our Pancake Breakfast. More details coming soon!

Senior Dinner returning on April 18, 2026!!
The Mattapoisett Lions Club Senior Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 12 PM for local seniors. The event will be held at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church. There is no fee for the meal and the dinner includes full turkey dinner, with fixings and dessert. Participants and individuals who need meals delivered are encouraged to contact the Council on aging at: coadirector@mattapoisett.gov, or can call (508)-758-4110 to report attendance or need for meal delivery. Any specific questions about the senior dinner can be directed to Jeffrey Swift, (508)-758-3666.
Annual Egg Hunt!!!
The world famous egg hunt will be held on March 28 at Ned's Point, 50 Ned's Point Rd., Mattapoisett with a backup date of April 4. The hunt begins at 11:00 sharp!
